Your organisation is only as good as the decisions you make. You will discover how to create the ideal environment for authentic leadership. This will empower your team through effective delegation and decision making, resilience and mental wellbeing, problem-solving and systems thinking. After all, authentic leadership creates leaders, not followers.

Your people are your best asset. However, people will only do what they think you want them to do. The onus is on leadership to develop great teams by leading and motivating others. It is leaderships’ responsibility to empower each member of the team to utilise their own experience, intellect and innovative spirit to deliver your agreed business objectives.

Effective conversation is a critical leadership skill. In this module, you will learn how to align your team with the business purpose resulting in far greater accountability and reduction in miscommunication. You will learn how to overcome conflict through courageous conversations and develop the necessary skill set to lead, coach and guide through change.

Leading Business

Organisational alignment is a powerful tool for businesses. You achieve clarity and precision by setting clear frameworks for people to work within.

In this module, you will learn how to use the ‘holy trinity’ of intent, freedom in a framework and closed-loop communications to ensure successful project delivery. These modes of delegation are a way of controlling risk by reducing errors arising from misunderstandings and wrong assumptions. Simultaneously, you will empower your people through innovation, creativity and accountability.

You will also learn the importance of creating a workplace culture that prioritises vulnerability as an authentic way to connect with people; enhancing collective innovation and creativity as a result.

Lessons Covered:

  • Leading with the Brain in Mind
  • Leadership and Management
  • What is my Leadership Style?
  • Leading with Purpose
  • Creating the Environment for Leadership in Others

Strategy and Planning

Strategy

We often work with companies who are so focused on the day-to-day issues, their strategy suffers. This failure to lift the eyes to the horizon and plan for the future can have serious consequences on a business’s reputation, market share and capital. Lacking a dynamic approach, what should be a living breathing document becomes static; stifling momentum and creativity.

In this module, you will learn that strategy is something that we use to help guide our actions and decisions. It should align all of the organisation towards the same compass point. You will come to learn the ‘art of action’ and how to develop a strategy from scratch through set frameworks and systems thinking. You will learn how to utilise Situational Awareness as a way to become more ‘self-aware’ at each step of the process. That is, the state of being aware of what is happening, both individually and across the organisation.

Planning

How many times have we heard the phrase ‘we should have seen this coming’? Whether it’s in business, politics, or at home, we rarely make the effort to look ahead and try to predict what might happen. It is human nature to try and avoid things that we find unpalatable. We don’t want to consider failure.

No plan survives contact with reality. Plans are always going to go wrong, in some shape or form. However, there are principles and planning tools that will help you to adapt to changing circumstances. In this module, you will learn how to create robust contingency and continuity plans that will help you navigate the unforeseen. You will learn how to explore where your plan might fail so that you can work out preemptively what you can do about it. Your organisation will be more agile and operate at a higher tempo with pacier decision-making.

  • Communication

Risk

In every business situation or plan there is uncertainty and a degree of risk. In this module, we will identify the key components of good risk management and maintaining good Situational Awareness. This is the state of being aware of what is happening both individually and across the organisation. You will come to understand bias and how it affects our risk analysis.

You will learn how to use pressure testing techniques to identify your company’s blind spots, align all internal stakeholders and find solutions in a highly practical way.

This collaborative approach will help you to identify weaknesses, previously unrecognised opportunities, risks and actions needed to address them. Moving forward this will build a risk culture into your organisation and ensure higher tempo operations; saving the company time, money and resources.
