Adam Crawford MBE
Adam left the Royal Marines as a Lieutenant Colonel, having served a little over 16 years. His last appointment was to a cross government Foreign and Security Policy team based in Washington DC. In addition to front line tours in the Balkans, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and a period on the staff for the head of the Armed Forces, he was fortunate enough to have a broad career in a number of Government departments, focused largely around National Security projects and programmes. He left the military for the City and a front office role with an Investment Bank, and has more latterly focused on financial sector management consultancy. He has helped organisations build and manage teams for complex large scale projects, and driven strategy, planning and implementation processes for transformation and change. An occasional speaker on leadership and planning, he is a member of the Chartered Management Institute and holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Defence technology from Kings College London. He lives with his family in Cornwall, where he makes largely futile attempts to be a part of the surf, paddle board and culinary excellence to be found there.
